By capturing images with multispectral sensor across specific wave bands, we can analyze physical properties of crops and other vegetation.
With the use of Real Time Kinematic GNSS methodology, 26PN can perform accurate data capture with centimeter level accuracy.
Through a comparative study, we can determine certain areas and/or fields that are not performing/producing as expected.
By using multispectral imagery you can account for more damages that cannot be observed from regular RBG photos.
Here in Florida, farmers are aware of the dangers that exist from natural disasters like hurricanes. We provide a detailed crop loss report of the areas in your crop land that have been negatively affected so that you can get the best amount for your crop insurance claim. Some damages are hard to see from ground level and with normal cameras. But with innovative methodologies and technologies, we can not only show visual damage but also additional stress damage through multispectral imagery on crops that could cause future yield drop.
Document and prevent yield loss. With a comparison study of your crop land you can determine which areas have been affected by any kind of adversity or by differences in farming methodologies allowing you to analyze faster and accurately respond.
Create a crop life plan with 26th Parallel North and we will visit year round through the multiple stages of the crop life and receive periodic reports of your crops as well as staying prepared for a disaster event before and after hurricane season.
NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index) - By far one of the most utilized Vegetation Indeces. As stated by the USGS "NDVI is used to quantify vegetation greenness and is useful in understanding vegetation density and assessing changes in plant health. NDVI is calculated as a ratio between the red (R) and near infrared (NIR) values."
GNDVI (Green Difference Vegetation Index) - Similar to NDVI, GNDVI uses the Near-Infrared Wave Band but ratios the Green Band instead of the Red band to determine comparative moisture and nitrogen concentration in plant leaves to address depressed and/or aged vegetation.
CVI (Chlorophyll Vegetation Index) - Uses all of the previous three wave bands for a higher sensitivity to chlorophyll concentration in certain leave area index models.
RECI (Red-Edge Chlorophyll Vegetation Index), NDRE (Normalized Difference Red-Edge Vegetation Index), MSAVI (Modified Soil-Adjusted Vegetation Index), OSAVI (Optimized Soil Adjusted Vegetation Index) among many others are just a few of the Indices 26th Parallel North utilizes to determine crop plant life and staging.
